Developing Excellence in a Jewish Special Educational Setting through the Arts

Developing Excellence in a Jewish Special Education Setting through the Arts project enables the Shefa School to develop an arts-enriched curriculum that will ensure a high-quality Jewish values-based education for a special needs population within New York City.
Students at the Shefa School, which opened its doors this September, learn and play in an environment that melds Jewish tradition with attention to the needs of a student population with language-based learning differences. In addition to general and Judaic studies, the Shefa School faculty has developed an arts-enriched curriculum, supported by a Covenant Foundation Ignition grant.
