The Growing Older/Growing Wiser project enabled the Institute for Jewish Spirituality to create and disseminate a curriculum to provide guidance for the spiritual journeys of Jewish boomers. The Institute for Jewish Spirituality received a Covenant Foundation Signature Grant in 2013 to continue this work.

“Where are we now, what did we accomplish, and what have we learned?”
“Because of the grant we’ve been able to create a usable Resource Guide for leading small groups on aging from a Jewish perspective. We’ve seen how the Guide and the group work can be very powerful, transformative experiences for the participants, even in one of the groups that only met for one-and-a-half hours every other week. This stage of life has an enormous agenda in regards to spiritual and emotional needs, which no one has addressed before in this space. The Jewish community is beginning to wake up to the fact that they have a population of people they’re losing because they’re in disregard for them, but they see that they have a lot of value.”
