Warsaw Ghetto Curriculum

The implementation of a program designed for Jewish day and supplementary schools to challenge students to empathize with the dilemmas that Jews faced during the Holocaust.

This grant led to the creation of The Jews of Poland resource book, which considered the ways Jews and their non-Jewish neighbors in Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe responded to questions of identity, membership, and difference at various times in their shared history. The book includes autobiographies, diaries, official documents, and literary works. For teachers using this source, Facing History also created suggestions for class discussions, writing assignments, and research projects.
